Vision
To rescue orphans and widows, feed the poor, build the local church, and win souls around the world
Biography
Ivan and Kimberly Tait met in south Texas, and four years later were married. In 1983, four years and a few months into their marriage and two children later, they left their seemingly “normal” life with a home and garden and began traveling around America in an RV, preaching and ministering. The step of faith they took that year was the birth of What Matters Ministries and Missions. WMMM began with a passion and calling to preach the incredible message of the Bible and to obey it by rescuing orphans, widows, and the desperately poor around the world. Over the decades that they have been ministering, Ivan and Kimberly have seen countless lives impacted.
Ministry Objectives
To impact and change the global crisis of forgotten, abused, and discarded children and widows in developing countries by building self-esteem and value through education, housing, food, and health care
Rescuing orphans and widows
Feeding the poor – We purposefully build our orphan communities where extreme poverty exists because we aim to break that stronghold for as many individuals and families as we can
Building the local church – Ivan often ministers alongside his family. His older two daughters and son-in-laws are ordained and are co-partners with him and his wife in the ministry
Winning souls around the world – Our ultimate goal in everything we do is the eternal salvation of the individual
