Why do we pray? Prayer is communication with God, but God has also given us authority through our prayers. We must learn to use the Word of God in our prayers so that we can walk in the authority that God has given us to break off every stronghold that the enemy uses against us. The Word is life. It is so powerful that it alone can bring the changes we want to see in our lives, our country, and our world.
Ephesians 3:14-17 – For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
Ephesians 4:31-32 – Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.
Philippians 2:1-3 – Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
