Campus Pastors Daniel & Michelle Spangler

Pastor Daniel and Michelle Spangler have been members of Church For All Nations since June 2003, when the military moved them to Colorado Springs. Both Daniel and Michelle have honorably served and retired from the United States Air Force. They met and were married while serving on their remote assignment to Shemya Air Force Base, a remote 4½ x 2½ mile island near the end of the Aleutian Island chain in Alaska. As the saying went, “It’s not the end of the world, but you can see it from here.” God has not only blessed their marriage, but has blessed them with three wonderful daughters: Sarah, Hannah and Trinity. Daniel’s mother, Grace, has lived with them for several years and brings completion to their family.

Longing to serve God’s kingdom and His people in an even greater capacity, Pastor Daniel and Michelle have been in ministry in some capacity for many years. Their first experience in ministry together started in 1993 where they were asked to serve as youth directors at the church they attended while stationed in Texas. This assignment lasted for close to 10 years. Even with all the ups and downs of youth ministry, their passion for full-time ministry was really birthed out of this experience. With that goal in mind, Pastor Daniel has been on staff at CFAN since he retired from military service in May 2005, and Michelle, who retired in April 2008, has been working for an international missionary agency headquartered in the Springs since October 2008. They desire to know Christ more fully and to see His people grow into what He’s called them to be. They both enjoy teaching and discipleship, and believe in coming along side and equipping people to further their walk with Christ. They consider it an honor and a blessing to be called to our Southwest Campus as Campus Pastors, where they have served since February 2010.

SOME HISTORY

The church began in July 1979 in the basement of a home on the west side of Colorado Springs. Later, the storefront facilities located on 505 Castle Road, a former grocery store with 5.6 acres, were purchased.
On January 11, 1987, Mark and Linda Cowart became the senior pastors. Prior to this, Pastor Mark was on staff for three years as an associate pastor. At the time they became the senior pastors, the church was facing some challenging financial situations. With inherited debt, the Lord graciously allowed a sure and steady return to financial and spiritual health within 22 months. The financial recovery was primarily due to the obedience of financial sowing from the church toward world missions. With a growing congregation and a big vision from God, the church realized that they could by no means fulfill all that the Lord had called them to do with the existing facilities and acreage. In April 1993, the first ten acres of land were purchased, which are located on the northeast side of Colorado Springs just off of Dublin and Powers Boulevards. Throughout the next four years, CFAN was able to purchase additional adjoining acreage. On May 13, 1997, the church officially broke ground for the new 49,000-square foot, Phase 1, campus. On March 22, 1998, the brand new facility was opened and dedicated. The church currently owns a total of 46 acres on the northeast side of Colorado Springs on 6540 Templeton Gap Road.

A Little About CFAN

 John 3:16-17

16: For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17: For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

Church For All Nations is a multi-site, dynamic, growing, multi-cultural body of believers. We believe that Christianity is not a religion; it is a relationship with God. At Church For All Nations, we know that God loves each individual person and desires that all know Him personally. So great was His desire that He sent Jesus Christ, His only Son, to save the world from the darkness of sin. This is such incredible news that we want everyone to know about it!
